What is mt tyree?

Mt. Tyree is located on the southern part of the Antarctic Peninsula and is the second-highest peak in the Sentinel Range, which is one of the highest mountain ranges in Antarctica. It was named after William M. Tyree, an American explorer. Mt. Tyree stands at an elevation of 4,852 meters (15,919 feet) and is known for its steep and technical climbing routes. The mountain was first summited on January 6, 1967, by a team of Americans led by Nicholas Clinch. The ascent took over a month, and the team reached the summit via the West Ridge, which is considered one of the most challenging routes on the mountain. Since then, several other climbers have attempted to climb Mt. Tyree, but because of its remote location and the difficult climb, it remains a relatively obscure and rarely visited peak.
